Tattoo Information & Aftercare

Before Your Tattoo

Preparing well helps the process go smoothly and keeps your skin in good condition.

• Eat something light before your appointment. • Stay hydrated. • Get enough rest. • Avoid alcohol or blood-thinning medicine for at least 24 hours. • Make sure your skin is clean and not sunburned.

Healthy skin and a calm mindset make the session easier and healing faster.

During the Session

Before starting, we review your design and placement together. You can take short breaks if needed. We focus on keeping you relaxed and comfortable throughout the process.

Long-Term Care

• Use sunscreen whenever you’re in the sun. • Keep your skin moisturized. • Avoid tanning beds and harsh exfoliants over tattooed skin.

Proper long-term care helps your tattoo stay bright, detailed, and healthy for years.

Aftercare

Proper aftercare helps your tattoo heal well, stay clean, and keep its details clear for years. During the healing process, your tattoo is like a small wound — how you care for it makes a big difference.

First Hours:

After finishing the session, your artist will clean the area and cover it with protective film or wrap. Keep this on for 2–4 hours to protect your skin from bacteria and friction. When you remove it, gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap. Pat it dry with a clean paper towel — don’t rub or wipe.

First Days:

For the first 3–4 days, apply a thin layer of aftercare cream (not too much — the skin needs to breathe) 2–3 times a day with clean hands. Avoid tight clothes and anything that might rub against the tattoo. Redness or light swelling can happen in the beginning — this is normal.

Healing Phase:

After a few days, your tattoo will start to peel or form thin flakes. Do not scratch, peel, or pick at it — let it fall off naturally. Avoid soaking the area in water: no swimming pools, saunas, or baths. Showers are fine, but keep them short and gentle.

Sun & Sweat:

Keep your tattoo away from direct sunlight until it’s fully healed. Sweating too much (like during workouts) can also irritate the skin in the first week — keep it minimal.

Sleeping Tips:

Try not to sleep directly on the tattooed area for the first few nights. If it’s on your arm or leg, wear loose, clean clothing to prevent sticking.

Healing Time:

Light peeling and itching are normal and mean your skin is healing properly. Complete healing usually takes 2–3 weeks, depending on the tattoo size, your skin, and how you care for it. Once healed, the surface may look slightly dry for a while — use unscented lotion daily to keep it soft.
